Directions to the Hospital

(The Spinal Injuries Unit is Located within the Southern General Hospital grounds)

By Car:

  • M8 Motorway to Junction 25 (From east or west).
  • Follow sign to Clyde Tunnel (A739) for 3/4 mile.
  • Then follow sign for Southern General Hospital.
  • Turn left into Govan Road. The hospital is on left.

Travelling from the north of the river go through the Clyde Tunnel (A739) in the left lane.

  • At tunnel exit take first left - Govan.
  • Proceed to roundabout.
  • Go around it and double-back along Govan Road for 1/4 mile.
  • Proceed across next roundabout. The hospital is first on your left.

Disabled parking spaces are available near the entrance. All main entrances have ramps

Buses from Govan Cross Underground Station.

Take buses listed that go to the Southern General Hospital. Buses for the hospital grounds are available at street level. Bus Stop is not the terminus.

Cardonald Station.

Twenty minute walk to Langlands Road entrance.

Local taxis are also available

By Air:

Glasgow Airport is 5 miles west of the hospital. Take M8 for Glasgow until Junction 25. Follow car directions.
