Recent spending has included new television stands for Philipshill Ward and paying a PhD student for three months for a research project. During lockdown endowment money has also paid for delicious weekly meals for patients from good local restaurants as well as ipads to allow patients to see and speak to their friends and relatives.

The funds are overseen by the Health Board’s finance department under Charity Commissioner rules to ensure that the monies are not used to subsidise routine NHS spending. You can be sure that every penny is spent on either the patients or research.
